A Partnership formed by three global organizations, namely ERAIFT, VisioTerra, and CICOS, actively participates to the Summit of the three largest tropical forests on Earth.
During three days, the Partnership will help leaders, delegates, and stakeholders from the government-, the corporate, and the NGO- worlds; shape their decisions and strengthen their capacities; leveraging unique, authoritative content, and learning- and networking opportunities.

Organized by the Summit, this panel is scheduled on Oct 26 at 2PM-3.30PM (local time).

Mr Baudouin Michel, Director of ERAIFT, participates to a UNESCO-organized side-event examining the contributions of UNESCO’s networks to biodiversity conservation and the set-up of a platform for scientific cooperation between the three basins.
This side-event is scheduled on Oct 26.

The three organizations will present various films focusing on several key themes. One such theme is the connection between water resources and forest ecosystems and the situation in the Congo Basin.

ERAIFT trains and develops the conservation leaders of tomorrow.
Attracting scholars from twenty-four African countries, ERAIFT is an African regional university dedicated to forest- and land management and planning.
Based in Kinshasa DR Congo, ERAIFT operates as a UNESCO Category 2 center and is funded by the EU, USAID, GIZ, and many other institutions.

WHO IS CICOS
Established in 2007 by six countries of the central Africa region, CICOS has two missions : the promotion of inland navigation and the management of water resources.
The jurisdiction of CICOS is the entire watershed of the Congo River. Among its goals are:
To harmonize regulations on river transport for navigation safety and environmental promotion.
To optimize water allocations by use.
